Larian Studios announced the release date of the next major patch for Baldur's Gate 3.
The patch in question will be released on 13 July and will contain a myriad of improvements and features starting with an improvement in artificial intelligence and passing through a greater amount of content in terms of story and narrative.
The full patchlog will be revealed next week with a dedicated press release.
In any case, with a community Update video, Larian was keen to let us know what some of the news related to the patch will be.
What to expect from the new Baldur's Gate 3 patch?
Some of the more interesting new additions to the gameplay include the Active Roll system. This mechanic allows players to use bonuses and spells when performing skill checks to swing the RNG in their favor.
Status modifiers and effects can now be controlled directly from the user interface. Several background goals have also been added that allow you to give even more variety to character creation.
The throat background is nothing more than a kind of special mini quest which, if fulfilled, will get the player a reward and help the player to actually roll their character. Some features have also been added to the player's camp, in order to add a little extra strategy to the management of breaks.
Mini camps will also spring up and provide a place to rest instead of having to go back to the river camp every time.
Baldur's Gate is currently available in early access on PC and Google Stadia.
There is still no specific release date and it is not even said that the game will be released to the public during the course of 2022.
