Battlefield 2042 has been postponed to November, we know. The faint hope of being able to play at least the Beta version of the game has never gone out, however, and here is that EA and DICE satisfy us by formalizing the dates for the Open Beta of their flagship Shooter.
The preload of the title will start on 5 October from 9:00 am on all platforms, but not everyone will be able to access the Open Beta right away: early access is available on October 6-7 for those who have booked Battlefield 2042 or are subscribed to EA Play, while the general access starts at 9am on October 00 on all platforms. From that moment, every online user is to be considered an "enemy" until day 8, the closing date of the trial period.
The open beta will include the classic Conquest mode of Battlefield, but with a slight variation: the two teams will compete to control different flags in certain areas, rather than single larger control points. It will also be characterized by new map Orbital, which takes the action to a still active missile base where they can collide up to 128 players (64 su PlayStation 4 ed Xbox One).
During the four valid days to experience Battlefield 2042, players can choose to impersonate one of the four different specialists provided, and which represent one of the traditional Battlefield typical classes - Medic, Assault, Tank and Recon - including special abilities.
