Call of Duty 2020 will be a Black Ops. Confirmation appears to come from a set of easter eggs inserted with recent updates in the mode battle royale free, called Warzone.
For example in the last update, in one of the buildings, you can find the RCXD radio controlled car which, as longtime fans of the series will remember, is a reward for a streak of kills. You can see images directly from the ModernWarzone community tweet.
Another easter egg is contained in the map bunkers which can be accessed with one of the latest updates. A nuclear bomb can be found in Bunker 11. Another clue, together with others, that would lead to think of a setting in the period of the cold war.
Some leaks on twitter (now deleted) had already anticipated that the next Call of Duty would be a Black Ops, developed by Treyarch. The title was supposed to be announced in May but was postponed due to the coronavirus situation. In all likelihood we will see it during the Summer Game Fest.
It would be of the fifth Black Ops after a saga that began in 2010 with an interesting chapter set in the scenarios of the Cold War and Vietnam. An element that has made the history of Black Ops is also the zombie mode which in the various chapters has taken on its own identity, entering the hearts of second generation “coddari” players. The latest Black Ops, the IV (or IIII) remember that it does not feature a story mode. Here you find the review.
In short, we can't wait to discover the future of the Call of Duty franchise that after the very appreciable soft reboot of Modern Warfare (here you can find the review), we trust you will give us new chapters qualitatively equally high. In parallel, the battle will also continue on Warzone which we remember is the free multiplayer battle royale mode available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
