In the upcoming seasonal event included in version 1.3, travelers will find themselves welcoming the New Year of Teyvat at Liyue's largest annual party, the Rite of Lanterns. Travelers can immerse themselves in this ancient tradition by assisting Liyue residents in various preparations for the festivities and, of course, by attending the grand ceremony on the night of the first full moon of the year. During this ceremony, countless lanterns will light up the night sky, carrying the wishes of each family to the sky. Meanwhile, Liyue's lively streets will be lined with food stalls and festive activities exclusive to the Rite of Lanterns, including an all-new tower defense strategy game.
The Rite of the Lantern will also mark the arrival of Xiao, as a new 5-star playable character. Xiao will use the Anemo element and his own Elemental Burst will grant him increased damage at the cost of a certain amount of his HP every second.
Generous resources and rewards will be available from version 1.3 events to fully prepare Travelers for a new year of adventure in Teyvat.
