The Harry Potter RPG was no longer a secret after the many leaks released in recent months, but no one would have expected to see it at the PS5 event.
As usual, however, Sony has been able to amaze and so has decided to break the delay on the title that will be published by Warner Bros. through the Portkey Games label and developed by Avalanche.
In the almost three-minute trailer we were able to admire many very high-level scripted phases, gameplay sections that we are not sure were exactly in game and many narrative sections. Despite this, what we have seen seems of excellent workmanship, far above the expectations we had made after seeing some images leaked a few months ago.
The information we are officially in possession of are not a lot, we know that the game will be set in a Hogwarts of the 1800s and that our alter-ego will not be the wizard protagonist of the series of books and films, but a student in possession of the key to an ancient secret that threatens the world.
In the course of Hogwarts Legacy we will be able to forge alliances and fight against other wizards and creatures from the Harry Potter universe.
There is no launch date, Sony has only confirmed the release for 2021.
