Tell the truth: the non-choice of Mads Mikkelsen as Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix show dedicated to The Witcher did not go down. The Danish actor (among his works 007-Casino Royale and the series about Hannibal Lecter) is so similar to the Geralt imagined by CD Project Red in The Witcher 3 to almost look like a real-life clone of him. Luckily a Korean 3d artist decided to give us a gift: a series of beautiful creations that put Mikkelsen in Geralt's shoes with frightening care.
The artist is Wonki Cho, a creative from Seoul of whom we invite you to visit the Artstation page, unfortunately a bit poor at the moment.
Unfortunately, this is a must, because he seems to have a lot of talent: the writer has rarely seen a more impressive fan-art work than this Geralt, with a recreation of the armor and weapons that smacks of epic and believable (also and perhaps personally I would have preferred to see Geralt with his classic Wolf armor, rather than in sumptuous heavy armor from Toussaint knight, but we are satisfied).
It goes without saying that in no time Reddit was bombarded with shouts of joy and compliments from the fans, who took the ball to reiterate how much they regret that Mikkalsen is not the real TV Geralt.
We remember that season two of Netflix's The Witcher is currently in production, after a forced stop due to the pandemic. At the moment we don't know when we will be able to see it. Here, instead, our review of the first series, released at the end of 2019.
