All that glitters is not gold
The coins, however, are not only the protagonists of a mode all dedicated to them, but also play an important role in the main adventure, changing the balance and unfortunately, for lovers of impossible challenges, sharply decreasing the level of difficulty. Mario will be able to collect a special flower that will literally transform it into gold; thanks to this power, he will be able to turn anything he touches into money, from enemies to blocks, with the latter automatically appearing at every movement of the protagonist. In short, it is understood that with this large amount of coins it will not be a problem to have new lives to exploit in the event of death, with many greetings at a level of difficulty worthy of being called such.
It is then understood that if the novelty of the coins does not convince at all, we must put our hope in the classic game mechanics, which actually never bore and always manage to entertain as the first time even if they are practically condemned a little by force of things. , a little for a level design not really inspired, to offer a continuous and at times annoying feeling of "deja-vu", especially if you haven't missed even one of the last episodes of the series. New Super Mario Bros 2. still works, and manages to entertain the player from start to finish. The not exactly excellent longevity, combined with the aforementioned low level of difficulty, however, does not help to resume the game once the credits are over, except for the usual purists willing to collect and complete everything at any cost.
