The Chinese brand realme is the fastest growing smartphone brand in recent times. The company has already ventured into other product categories thanks to the success of the mobile division and appears to be preparing for the launch of the first laptop.
It has been rumored for a while that the sister brand of OPPO e OnePlus could enter the portable PC sector. We now have the confirmation coming directly from a survey on the realme community asking users in India for their "laptop preferences".
This survey is conducted through Google Forms. It asks for basic information about the participants, such as gender, age group and annual income. It is interesting to note that realme wants to know the smartphone used by the participants and how satisfied they are with it.
Also, for some reason, the company did not include HP in a question asking the brand of the laptop owned by the participants. However, it has listed less popular laptop companies like Xiaomi and HONOR, as well as Lenovo, Dell, and ASUS.
Another interesting question is that the company asks if attendees are planning to buy a laptop in the next 3 months. This clearly suggests that realme laptops could make their debut in the third quarter of 2021.
Finally, in addition to basic questions about the laptop's capabilities, the brand also asks attendees how much they are willing to spend on their next notebook. Price ranges include a low of ₹ 30.000 (around € 340) and a high of ₹ 50.000 (around € 561) and above.
