Ergonomic, solid, reliable, beautiful.
Since I unwrapped the package and plugged the mouse into the USB port, only these four adjectives are buzzing in my mind.
Content and Packaging
The mouse is presented with a packaging that winks at the gamer audience, clearly the product's target audience.
On the box we find all the references of the case, such as the words [FPS Approved] + [Moba Approved], the various references to the RGB setup and the incredible sensor "owl-eye" from 12k DPI.
Inside we find the mouse safe in a plastic shell, the small multilingual manual for disposal, the fan-shaped user manual (as simple as it is exhaustive) and a pack of stickers of different sizes.
A MONSTER of precision and ergonomics
When the mouse is connected to the PC, it is immediately recognized without problems, by default the performance is excellent.
After the set-up of its proprietary program (in the next paragraph I will explain to you in detail) I begin to familiarize myself with the mouse, the keys are on the verge of pornography, the click response is perfect, solid. The sound is clear and there is an immediate sense of satisfaction in navigation.
The sensor is accurate, indeed, accurate is an understatement, it's perfect.
In gaming I am used to playing FPS at 1100 DPI, set the first profile for gaming I start my first game session, the shots are precise. The sniping is perfect, with no flickering or weird shakes.
The mouse is very suitable for someone like me who has a "palm grip" setting, I left it for a couple of hours with a friend who is practical with the claw grip and was also pleasantly surprised.
In everyday use the mouse does not tire the hand, for example yesterday I had a 9 hour session on photoshop, the precision paths were exquisitely perfect. Mouse jitter obviously absent.
The strong point, however, is the "4D" titanium wheel. The scroll is solid, really solid. Scrolling does not have the feeling of cheap, you can feel the tactile feel with each turn of the wheel, moreover, the side click of the wheel is very useful both for daily use (for example to raise or lower the volume) or in gaming to match with macros.
The weight is right, it is not a feather but not even a boulder, it flows smoothly and does not tire, essentially its 116 grams they are not heard.
LEDs are in a bit strong in dark situations but beautiful to look at and with really interesting transition effects.
Roccat Swarm - The best software for mouse calibration and management
I look for a link on the box to update the Drivers and install the dedicated proprietary program, Roccat Swarm, I admit I had a bit of difficulty, in fact on the site I had to work a few minutes to find the correct version that is at this link.
After installing Swarm the program will not immediately recognize the Mouse, so remember to register the product immediately, so that you can install the Kone Emp module.
Installed Swarm we are faced with an authentic monster of settings.
On the first page we have the classic settings for sensitivity, vertical scrolling of the wheel, the DPI selector and acceleration.
In the second we have the detail for the assignment of the functions in the keys.
On the third page the advanced settings, such as the polling rate, the acoustic feedback, the distance control unit that we will need to have a perfect calibration of the mouse surface and the color settings for the RGB module of the LEDs.
In the end we find the management of profiles and macros, all ordered and in the right place.
The Kone Emp has on board an ARM CORTEX-M0 50MHZ processor and a PixArt 3361 “owl eye” sensor, among the most sensitive on the market.
With the dpianalyzer test the accuracy of the PPE calibration is astounding, the margin of error is 0.19%.

Verdict
I'll be honest, I was aware that Roccat products were solid German rocks, I also thought “it will be yet another gaming mouse”.
I will also be honest to tell you that competing mice have disappointed me a lot in recent years, but this one here is absolutely the best mouse I have ever tried.
It is not for everyone, if you have small hands try the classic Roccat Kone, if you need a solid and precise mouse do not delay, the Kone Emp is an economical choice for a medium-high-end product that performs better than mice. high-end.
Recommended? With almost full marks, if you want to nitpick you are missing a clear and precise reference in the box to download the software Swarm, even a qr-code would be fine!
For the rest I have nothing else to add.
