L'uscita di Spyro Remastered is stirring up fans of all ages who are savoring the chance to relive the magical moments lived in childhood with the cute purple dragon.
The hype of nostalgics, but also of all those who want to discover the original adventures of the series for the first time, is brought to very high levels today, during which they were published, on the ResetEra forum, a dozen images of the remastered version of Spyro for Playstation 4.
Here is the gallery:
Spyro torna in HD
After the HD remake of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy and the announcement of the remastered version of MediEvil which, we remember, it could even contain the second chapter as well, many expected a move from those in charge to bring the purple dragon to the consoles of the current generation as well.
Activision did not beg too much, given that already in August 2017 it feared the possibility of the release of a Spyro Remastered.
Eric Hirshberg stated that the company was pleasantly surprised by the boom in sales achieved by Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, thus taking the decision to rejuvenate another IP.
We knew there was a large audience of gamers out there eagerly awaiting the return of Crash Bandicoot. It was a great discovery for us, for myself first of all, but we couldn't know if it was a minority or a huge mass until we released the game.
Crash Bandicoot far exceeded our sales expectations. We have here with us a couple of stats that underscore the fact that the game has jumped to the top of the sales rankings, based on units sold, in just two days of its debut on the market.
We believe we have another great IP in our portfolio that we are considering remastering… rest assured there will be many such initiatives in the future, with many great IPs.
In the following months, there have been numerous rumors about the possible announcement date of Spyro Remastered. The March 15 it seemed, according to rumors leaked on Reddit, the right date for the long-awaited announcement. Nothing came of it, but it was now clear that the dragon would return.
The definitive confirmation was given in the Easter period. In fact, the IGN editorial team received an egg covered with scales and purple in color. Coincidence? We don't think so.
Today, however, the images we have included above have been published. There is no official date yet, but Spyro the Dragon is back in HD ... probably by the end of 2018. A leak reported on Twitter by an insider suggests that Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will be officially announced today at 17.00 pm. We look forward confidently.
