Pyra / Mythra di Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will join the fighters of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate il 5 March, as we had already been pre-announced from the last Nintendo Direct. For the occasion, the teacher Sakurai showed us how to use the dual character through one of his usual demonstration videos.
Now arrived at his second Expansion Pass, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will welcome his ninth challenger set which includes in addition to Pyra / Mythra also a new scenario, the Sea of Clouds of Alrest, and a new selection of music tracks fished directly from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Right in Xenoblade, Pyra is one Legendary Gladius, that is a living weapon that supports the protagonist Rex. Following dramatic events during the course of the game, Pyra develops a second personality called Mythra, but how does this duality translate into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Pyra and Mythra are a unique character in the selection screen, but players can switch between them at any time during the match: one takes advantage of the power with its devastating attacks, while the other takes advantage of the speed moving nimbly on the battlefield. It's up to the player and his strategy understand in which moments to use one or the other personality.
The Alrest Sea of Cloud scenery is characterized by the back of Azurda, giant creature that swims in the sky as it travels across the world. During the battles in this scenario, players will be able to see landscapes and familiar elements of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 scroll by, such as flying ships, titans and boundless realms. Some characters from that game may also appear from time to time.
In conjunction with the release of the Pyra / Mythra Challenger Set, players can also buy new ones paid items for Mii Warriors (visible from the video above), such as Arthur's helmets and armor from Ghost 'n Goblins Resurrection and the hunter from Monster Hunter Rise.
The Challenger 9 Set which includes Pyra / Mythra, new scenario and new songs is included in the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 at the price of €29.99 or it can be purchased individually for the price of €5.99. Also included within this second pass are sets of Min Min (ARMS), Steve e Alex (Minecraft), Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) and two other characters that will be introduced in the future.
