In the case of the Mafia, the family is characterized by a series of "good guys" who have gods well-defined roles within a very large and busy organization e “Offers” that just can't be refused.

Confidence dam with i game controlsVery intuitive and simple to be used with keyboard and mouse, we will discover that a difference of the first chapter, many things have changed in the management and conquest of our criminal kingdom. The power of the family will split into actions to be performed directly with the game character but there will be a chance to take care of "business" also thanks to one interactive map called the “view of the gift” and recalled by simply pressing the TAB key. In the map we will be able to see directly all the managerial aspects of our family, the number of family members, the main places of our activities, the supply of weapons or money empire and so on. This new option will delight anyone who wants to try to manage their criminal empire by adding not only action but also tactics to their business. Unfortunately not everything can be managed through the map, The Godfather 2 it is not a strategic one but shuffles the cards with this genre of games only on a superficial level. To truly dominate the rival families it will be necessary use the strength of your character.
As in the first chapter, even here the character will be able to use a series of actions per intimidate the shopkeepers of the area to be dominated. This very simple system called Blackhand, will see us directly involved in beatings of the owners of bars or other profit-making activities or in the destruction of the premises concerned. Everything is very simple: you choose the target and hit it for a few moments until the latter, exasperated, yields to our threats. After that, the store will pass under our protection and part of the income will go straight into the family's pockets.
Unfortunately, barring a few stylish additions such as the ability to spot the weak point of a rival family (followed most of the time by a murder) or a shopkeeper, the option of force stops with a series of violence that is almost all the same - summary executions, people being thrown from the roofs of a building, killed with pistol shots in the face etc. If it sounds funny at first, in the long run it would take more imagination in executions or in their purely action nature. The real novelty of the title is the inclusion of a series of activities that Dominic will not be able to follow directly but will be given the opportunity to pay professionals to solve some thorny matters. For example, they can carry out robberies but to break into the safes you will have to have a professional burglar. For the demolition of some activities we can hire a bomber or for the success of an assassination, we can rely on a sniper or arsonist. These figures are special but once contacted, they will always be available on the map. In addition to these "professional" figures, know that you can still take others with you kids of the family that will help you with illegal activities or to watch your back in gunfights. The soldiers can then also be left to defend some activities that are particularly important and profitable for our business. Unfortunately I must immediately point out the poor artificial intelligence of friends and enemies. Sometimes, when we leave our soldiers guarding the activities, we will be attacked by good guys from rival families but the gunfights will always be in favor of our figurea, even if on the screen we will see dozens of enemies arrive. The real disappointment is that the enemies do not know how to organize and do not know in the least to face the clashes with a minimum of tactics if not that of hide and shoot to be knocked down like skittles.
Another doubt or disappointment that I would like to underline is the poor police presence. At first, engaged between an activity and the conquest of the territory you will not realize that the police are negligible but after the large amount of firefights one wonders where the police have ended up.
Among other things, what is even more hallucinating, it happened to me smashing shop windows, killing or crushing pedestrians in the presence of policemen who didn't give a damn about what I was doing. Bow like this or poor artificial intelligence are just not allowed in a title like that which at a distance ruins a lot the general atmosphere of the game (not to mention when cops or mobsters will magically appear in front of you like ghosts).
also the exploration phases are quite disappointing: mainly we complain about the driving model, quite woody and poorly maintained and then underline not only the general desolation roads but also the predictability and constant repetition of traffic and people, not to mention the patterns (but we will explore this aspect in the next chapter).
