After the announcement of Pedro Pascal in the role of Joel and that of Bella Ramsey in that of Ellie, The Last of Us show production has revealed Tommy's performer, Joel's brother: it's about Gabriel Luna, visto in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
We all know how much Tommy is an interesting and in some ways central character in both games of the Naughty Dog series: initially very attached to his brother and his niece Sarah, with the arrival of the Cordyceps epidemic. Tommy joins the Lights and begins to fight against the new government. He and Joel will only meet again towards the end of the game, when his brother and Ellie arrive in Jackson.
In fact, in the economics of the tale Tommy is a sort of “mirror” figure to Joel but much more idealistic, which leads his brother to reflect on his choices.
As for his role in The Last of Us-Part II, he will in fact be the one to feed part of the instinct for revenge that will trigger the whole story.
According to the character description, Tommy will also be in the series "A former soldier who has not lost his sense of idealism and hope for a better world".
Among the roles played by Luna we also find Terminator: Dark Fate, and in theory it should reprise the character of Ghost Rider in uno spin-off di Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dedicated entirely to him.
The Last of Us is a show created by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) in collaboration with Neil Druckmann. HBO hasn't announced a release date yet, but according to the latest news, production of the first season will run until next June, so Episode 2022 may not air until the end of XNUMX.
Do you think Luna is a good choice to bring Tommy to life in live-action?
