While the rumors about a landing / return of Kratos in the next generation of consoles they get stronger and stronger, God of War returns to be talked about for a new series of comic books based on the brand (not the first: DC Comics had already completed a similar operation in 2010, simultaneously with the launch of God of War III). The cycle just announced, entitled Fallen God, however, will have a very prestigious task: in fact he will have to tell the vicissitudes of Kratos between his definitive victory over the Olympians at the end of the third installment of the series and the beginning of the acclaimed God of War of 2018.
This is the intriguing official synopsis:
“God of War: Fallen God follows Kratos after the defeat of Zeus and abandoning Athena. Believing he is finally free from the straps of the past, he sets sail for the desert in an attempt to get away from his home and his shame, only to finish. prey to his anger and his sense of guilt. Kratos rages against the only enemy who has proven to be invincible: himself. But such a war is impossible to win, and it only leads to madness.
We are confident that it will be a journey that it will eventually lead Kratos far north, will allow him to find love again and groped to live a normal life along with Atreus and his mother. Events that will lead straight to the start of the 2018 Game of the Year.
The series will be published by Dark Horse, a publishing house that has always been specialized in comic book adaptations or expansions of important videogame universes, will be written by Chris Roberson and drawn by Tony Parker. Its US debut is scheduled for June 24.
