Call of Duty is one of the most important sagas of the contemporary videogame, with assets nearly twenty years of honorable service in which he recounted the wars of the past as well as those of the present (and even of the future).
But which is the best, according to Metacritic?
A recent ranking has had the courage to bring together the fifteen titles of the saga and to compare them on the basis of their metascore, placing them in increasing series from worst to best. Not a small feat, if we consider the long career and the fluctuating fortune of the brand nato nel 2003 dal team Infinity Ward.
Without going into too much detail, let's take a look at it.
A difficult ranking
According to the scores, speaking properly of "worst games in the ranking" is not exactly ideal, as it starts with two titles, Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, both with a good / excellent score of 78/100, followed by a middle position that settles on the "ten 80" in which we find almost a little i titoli curati da Treyarch (Call of Duty 3, CoD Black Ops 2, 3, 4 e World at War) e Sledgehammer (Advanced Warfare, WWII).
Things become more curious and fun (and maybe "divisive" for someone) coming towards the end of the ranking.
To win the throne of the ranking is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with the metascore of 94, followed by the first Modern Warfare (92) and, in third position, the mythical Call of Duty del 2003 (91).
Following, three titles in the series defined as "excellent but not excellent": the first Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty 2.
Only thirteenth position instead for the most recent title in the series, the remake / reboot Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which reached a score of 81.
What do you think of this ranking? Which episode of the series would you have reserved a higher place for and which one would you have gladly lowered the vote?
