Finally, after months of waiting new details emerge about Gotham Knights, the long-awaited new action game on the Batmanian universe developed by Warner Bros Montreal and expected as a cross-gen title, which is expected to collect the legacy of the Arkham series of Rocksteady.
According to the British sales site TheGameCollection.com Gotham Knights could be arriving on July 31 at a price of around £ 62,95, corresponding to € 72,76 (obviously this is a price subject to variations).
The version referenced on the site is that PlayStation 5, but it is almost certain that the news of the release may also refer to those for PS4, Xbox One and of course the Xbox Series X counterpart.
At the moment, all of the information we have about Gotham Knights is firm as of last summer, when the game was unveiled at the DC Fandom.
We know the game will be a sort of evolution of the Arkham storyline, with Batman's proteges (Nightwing, Batman, Batgirl, Robin e Red Hood) will have to pick up their mentor's scepter after his disappearance at the end of Arkham Knight.
The gameplay of the game will have co-op and RPG elements, but will retain the architecture of Arkham Origins (the only other game in the series to have been developed by WB Montreal). However, unlike the "old" Arkham the plot of the game will develop over several nights, a completely new fact.
We also know who the Gotham Knights villains will be the Court of Owls, protagonists of a cycle written in 2011 by Scott Snyder and considered among the best narrative cycles dedicated to the Dark Knight that have been born in recent decades.
As for the player characters, we know we can to switch the character we control between the four Knights of Gotham. The Bat-Team will also have at its disposal a sort of central base of operations (one of the main clock towers of Gotham City), which will function as hub from which we can manage the equipment, with a functioning not unlike that of the Dark Souls.
