How to cure fires in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
The simplest and least expensive method of healing in DBZ Kakarot is to simply find a campfire to rest. These landmarks are scattered throughout each region and can easily be found by looking for smoke plumes in the distance. Unfortunately, there isn't a bonfire icon on your minimap, so you'll have to look for them. When interacting with a bonfire, you will have the option to eat or rest. Just select "rest" and your HP and Ki will be restored.
Note that you need to rest to heal at a bonfire. Preparing a meal won't do the trick.
Heal with non-battle items in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
The most convenient way to heal in DBZ Kakarot is to use items. In the beginning, Vitadrink will be your healing object. To use a Vitadrink out of battle, just:
You can buy Vitadrink from any grocery store and even some enemies drop them. You can usually find groceries near settlements, and most of the larger regions have one. They're easy to spot with their minimap icon, so if you open the map and don't immediately see one, switch between regions.
Heal with items in battle in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
You can also use Vitadrink in battle while playing DBZ Kakarot. However, you can't just open the item menu whenever you want during battle. To use an item to heal, you must first set it on the Item Palette.
To set Vitadrink on the object palette, you need to:
Once a Vitadrink is set up on the item palette, you can use it in battle. If you want to heal while fighting, hold the D-Pad in any direction. You will then see the Object Palette open in the lower left corner of the screen. While it's open, press the button corresponding to the item you want to use.
Items are immediately usable in DBZ Kakarot, so you can use as many as you want at the same time. You can heal items at any time in a battle, so make sure you always have plenty of stocked Vitadrinks and you'll be unstoppable.
Heal by leveling up in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot
You will also receive a free cure in DBZ Kakarot every time you level up. This usually means that after each tough fight, in which you will probably have enough experience to level up, you will have your HP restored and you will be ready for the next fight.
You can't really rely on this healing method too heavily as it's hard to trigger on purpose. Getting your HP replenished like this is mostly just a nice bonus.
